What a neat place! My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to stay in the king suite and had such a nice time. The room was very clean and even though it has a dated look to it, that is a big part of the appeal to me. The tub was wonderful to relax in after a day of hiking in the area. Our host was very communicative through email and text message. I would 10 times out of 10 choose The Fenway Hotel over a "standard" hotel. We stayed here while attending the UW Platteville Homecoming Game. The Fenway House Hotel was less than half the price of the hotels in Platteville, and only about a 30-minute scenic drive to campus—we even saw several Amish buggies along the way. Check-in was refreshingly simple. The day before arrival, we received an email with our room number and door code. When we arrived, the room door was open and ready. Once inside, closing the door automatically locked it. To re-enter your room, you just touch the lock pad to light up the number pad, enter your code, and press #—easy and secure. The rooms were very comfortable, each with its own unique decor. Ours had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot, and the air conditioner cooled the room quickly. The ice machine in the common hall was working well, and coffee supplies were conveniently located nearby. Overall, it was a relaxing and pleasant stay. We appreciated the thoughtful touches and the value—especially compared to other options in the area. Read Less
